Country cricketers gain certificates

Ten persons qualified recently for cricket Youth Coaching Certificates after a course of instruction in Rangiora by the former English player, M. Horton. The course was arranged by the North Canterbury Cricket Association under the sponsorship by Rothmans Sports Foundation through the New Zealand Cricket Council national coaching committee. Concentrated coaching also was provided for selected boys at the Rangiora High School. • I The course for coaches was spread over four evenings with • two hours instruction each evening. Those taking part ranged ! from schoolboys to senior cncket- ! ers. About 20 persons participated ■in the course for coaches. Those qualifying for Youth Coaching Certificates were: — G. R.
