Record swim by Otago
(N.Z. Press Association) . DUNEDIN. A New Zealand record of 3min 52sec was set by an Otago team for the men's 4 x 110 yards freestyle relay event at the Moana Pool last night. J. McConnachie, p. Laing S. Laing and M. Borrie swam* the* event in the individual times of 58.2 sec, 58.3aec, 59.1aec and 56.45ec respectively. The previous record of 3min 56aec was set by an Auckland team in February, 1968.
