BADMINTON LOSS
(N.Z. Press Association) WANGANUI. New Zealand’s leading woman badminton player, - Mrs G. Middelberg, of Marton, is not available for selection in the national team to play Australia in the Whyte Cup match at Auckland in July. Nor will she be able to play for the women’s team against Australia in the international match for the Über Cup. 4Wrs Middelberg has not fully recovered from the ankle injury she sustained while playing in the final of the national championship last September. Whether she will be able to defend her title later in the year is also in doubt.
