FINE CUP TRIAL
(N.Z. Press Association) MELBOURNE. The former New Zealand horse, Rajah Sahib, ran a great Australian Cup trial when he scored an impressive victory in the $5BOO Momington Cup (10 furlongs) at Momington on Wednesday.
A five-year-old by Pakistan out of Gay Princess, Rajah Sahib
won by two lengths and a half after being sent out 6-4 favourite. Second was the New Zealandbred Mateship (Messmate— Harijan), with a neck to Brecknock. The plate getters both started at 7-1.
