NELSON AIR PAGEANT
(From Our Own Reporter) NELSON, Feb. 26. If tomorrow’s weather is as brilliant as today’s flying rehearsal by the Royal New Zealand Air Force, the crowd at Nelson Airport for the national aero club’s air pageant is in for a thrilling day. About 250 aircraft, ranging from a rotocraft to the R.A.F.’s Vulcan strategic bomber, will be at Nelson for what has been described as the most comprehensive air pagent held in New Zealand. In the R.N.Z.A.F. demonstration today a Skyhawk fighter jet was put through manouevres, the Vulcan made several passes over the airport, other aircraft were shown, and the Red Checkers aerobatic team from Wigram completed the rehearsals. Aero clubs* competitions resulted:—
