Experience in the conveyancing field or at the least a background of legal knowledge from association with a legal firm, a government department or other source is essential. Experience in legal matters is the keynote, but the position could suit a registration clerk who feels that he or she is capable of better things. Dependent on the successful applicant's age and experience the position is one, or will become one of responsibility and seniority, in that he or she will initially, or after further training, deal directly with client' and carry out conveyancing transactions and State Advances work entirely, but under the supervision of a partner. Initial salary by negotiation but with experience the ultimate salary will be substantial and a subsidised superannuation scheme is available to a suitable applicant.
