MELBOURNE, Feb. 24
A female impersonator in the touring “Les Girls” show, Ronnie Ahiburg, aged 20, is not sure whether he has been accepted or rejected by the Australian Army. “Leah,” as he is known on the stage, said after his Army medical examination that noone would say whether he would be deferred or not. He arrived for the examination wearing a green miniskirt, snakeskin boots, and a midi coat.
“I did an aptitude test, so that if they took me I could only be an entertainer.” he said. "I know I couldn’t do anything rugged—l’m not strong enough or manly enough."
