Cheese for Japan
Australian cheese sales to Japan in the second half of last year amounted to 4332 tons, about 13 per cent more than in the corresponding period in 1969. Australia's share of the Japanese market was about 31 per cent. New Zealand (2851 tons) ranked third on the list of Japan’s suppliers, after Australia and Norway (3109 tons). Other major suppliers were the Netherlands (1385 tons), Denmark (840 tons), Belgium (495 tons) and Sweden (454 tons). —Sydney, Feb. 24.
