TYPHOID CASE

DANNEVIRKE, Feb. 24.
A woman admitted to Dannevirke Hospital had been confirmed a typhoid case, the medical superintendent (Dr B. Mulvihill) said today. The woman is now in a satisfactory condition but is still in isolation. Routine typhoid preventive shots have been given hospital staff associated with her, and investigations are being made as to how the woman contacted typhoid. Dr Mulvihill said that typhoid vaccine was not long-lasting, and isolated outbreaks could be expected from time to time.
