Rockets hit base
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) SAIGON, February 14.
Communist forces early today attacked with rockets a South Vietnamese town being used as a rear supply base for the allied incursion into Laos.
Government military spokesmen said that about 25 rockets hit Dong Ha, nine miles south of the Demilitarised Zone between North and South Vietnam.
They said two persons were killed and seven wounded in the attack, which also damaged several houses and other buildings. The town is serving as a rear base from which supplies are moved west on Highway 9 for the campaign in Laos to cut the Communist Ho Chi Minh supply trail.
