Farm policy director
Mr H. J. King, formerly South Island supervising appraiser for the State Advances Corporation has been appointed director of a new division set up by the corporation to concentrate on farming policies. Mr King was born and brought up on a farm in North Auckland. He later
trained on farms and studied at Massey and Lincoln colleges. He took the diploma in valuation and farmmanagement. In 1948 Mr King joined the corporation at Dunedin and served in Greymouth, Rotorua, Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.
