Stella Grattan foals filly
“The Prest” Special Service INVERCARGILL.
Saturday was quite a day for the 23-year-old Grattan Loyal mare, Stella Grattan.
In the early hours of Saturday she foaled a filly by the Roydon Lodge stallion, Armbro Hurricane at Messrs G. R. Shirley’s and G. A. Thomas’s Ascot Stud, Invercargill. On Saturday night, Stella Grattan’s six-year-old daughter. Stella Frost, was a dashing winner of the Third Pacing Heat of the Inter-Dominion Championships at Addington. Stella Frost’s new half-sister is a chestnut with four white socks. Their dam is to be served by the Ascot Stud sire, Majestic Chance, a son of the former world champion, Adios Butler. Stella Grattan is now being bred from by Mr J. D. Ford, of Balclutha.
