Settlement of claim

WELLINGTON, Feb. 14.
Settlement of a claim by a former Wellington city traffic superintendent, Mr James Anderson, for $23,000 damages against “Truth” for defamation was announced in the Supreme Court. Miss S. M. Moran, counsel for the defendant company, News Media Ownership, Ltd, publishers of “Truth,” read to the Court a memorandum of settlement signed by counsel for both parties. No figure was given. Mr W. V. Gazley represented Mr Anderson.
