Killed by swordfish
An angler from Fort de France, Martinique, was killed yesterday when he was speared through the chest by a swordfish. It was dozing on the surface of the sea when it was awakened by the engine of the ship from which Mr Francois Moreau and his friends were going to fish. The swordfish suddenly jumped several yards out of the water and pierced Mr Moreau in the chest. He fell into the water and died shortly after his friends had rescued him.—Fort de France, Feb. 4.
