Mining study by institute
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, February 4. Mining and the search for revenue-boosting minerals will come under close scrutiny at the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy annual conference, which will open in Auckland on March 1, move to Wellington, and then close in Dunedin a week later. It will be the first time in its 78 years that the institute has held its conference in New Zealand. About 400 mining engineers, scientists and financiers are expected to attend. ,•
