Kaitoke to resume
(N.Z. Press Association) The Union Steam Ship Company’s 3551-ton, intercolonial motor-vessel Kaitoke, which has been berthed at Lyttelton since she arrived from Port Kembla on November 11 is expected to resume service next week. After the Kaitoke had discharged her cargo she underwent her annual survey and overhaul at Lyttelton, but when this was finished she was unable to resume service because of a shortage of deck and engine-room officers. Since then she has been laid up at Lyttelton.
The kaitoke is now expected to sign on a crew next Thursday and should sail the following day for Tauranga to load cargo for New South Wales.
