Bryant Trust Board invites applications for the position of Matron of its Women’s Rest Home situated at Raglan, some 30 miles west of Hamilton. Located on the waterfront in beautiful surroundings, the home is a modern and comfortable building seven years old. The home caters for up to six women at a time who are received as guests of the board on the recommendation of a doctor, due to convalescence, mental strain or nervous tension. There is an age limit of 55 years and guests stay for two weeks at a time.

Some domestic help is given to the Matron whose duties are centred on the welfare of the guests, responsibility for the preparation of meals, and the comfort of the home.

Applications will only be considered from a woman who has had experience in "Home” situations. Nursing experience is necessary, but applicant need not be qualified as a visiting doctor lives in close proximity. A generous salary and free accommodation comprising r separate bed-sitting unit, is available for a person of dedication and with a concern for people.
