Oysters may be 55c doz.

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Feb. 5. Oysters are likely to be dearer by 10c a dozen, bringing the price to the public to 55c, when the new season starts on March 1, sources said in Wellington today. The general manager of the Fishing Industry Board (Mr J. S. Campbell) said that the price of sacks and cans from Bluff had increased, but said he could not say what new price the retailers would charge. A lot would also depend on whether supplies came by air or sea, he said. Mr Campbell also pointed to big wage increases in all sections of the oyster industry.
