Contraband found
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) AUCKLAND, Feb. 3. A large customs haul was discovered , this morning in the island freighter, Taveuni. It consisted mainly of radios, cassette tapes, car radios and spirits, found among cargo in the lower hold by Customs men. Officials valued the haul between $5OOO and $6OOO. More radios were being found as inspectors continued to search this afternoon.
Freighter Sails.— The island trader Jean Philippe left Port Whangarei for Rarotonga at 2.45 p.m. yesterday. She had been delayed first by a dispute and then by flooding in the engineroom.—(P.A.).
