(N.Z. Press Association)

The authority will hear applications and grant licences. Under present legislation the people or Rarotonga are denied the opportunity to join tourists in licensed premises.

V.S.A. reception.—The reception for Volunteer Service Abroad volunteers will be held by the Mayor of Christchurch (Mr A. R.
