Christchurch, Hampshire, has sent Christchurch, New Zealand, $422 for a conductor’s rostrum for the new Town Hall.

The Deputy-Mayor (Cr H. R. Bourke) of the English city, writing to the Mayor of Christchurch (Mr A. R. Guthrey), says the subscription list includes many citizens and contributions from the Rotary Club, the Christchurch British Legion, Christchurch Citizens’ Association, Christchurch Police and the Christchurch Corporation.

Mr Guthrey has written thanks and says that details of the wording on a plaque commemorating the gift and photographs of the concert hall and theatre of the Town Hall will be sent to Christchurch, England.
