Pakistanis criticise govt

(N.Z. Press Assn. —Copyright) LONDON, Nov. 23, More than 100 chanting Pakistanis gathered in London last night and accused their Government of failing to act quickly for the relief of flood victims in East Pakistan. Police sealed off the entrance to the Pakistani High Commission as the demonstrators paraded, with banners demanding the resignation of President Yahya Khan. A spokesman for the Lon-don-based East Pakistan Flood Disaster Committee told reporters: “Our Government is doing nothing to help the stricken area, and we blame top officials who come from West Pakistan.” In Dacca, two Pakistani newspapers have sharply criticised the Government’s handling of relief operations; one of them reporting the “total petrification of the Central Government.”
