THEFT OF FISH
Crayfish tails and whitebait valued at about $5OO were stolen from the premises of Kaikoura Fisheries on the New Wharf at Kaikoura on Sunday night The lock of the front door was forced between 8 p.m., Sunday, and 430 ajn. yesterday. A door of the freezer was then forced. Seven full cardboard cartons and three part-cartons of crayfish tails, and 141 b of whitebait were removed. The Kaikoura police say that the cartons are marked “Feran’s Quality Seafoods, i I Rock Lobster."
