Peking view of U.N. vote
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) HONG KONG, Nov: 23. China today welcomed Friday’s narrow majority in the United Nations General Assembly in favour of her membership of the world body as a great victory and “a sign that the Americans’ magic wand is losing its power.” Radio Peking said that the vote was a serious set-back for Washington, and it went on: “The dam built by United States imperialism to prevent China from entering the United Nations has begun to collapse ... More and more countries have come to oppose the practice bf power politics by United States imperialism.”
