Siting of pylons
Sir,—As the correspondence on the placing of pylons in the Mackenzie Basin appears to have lapsed I begin to wonder whether people are aware of what they might lose. Perhaps you have in your files a picture of the view from the Desert Road which could be published as a warning. The enjoyment of a fine view has a value not to be measured*in dollars and cents, but it is difficult to prove this to people who overlook toe important part that intangible things play in their lives.—Yours, etc., VALERIE HEINZ. November 23, 1970. [This correspondence is now closed. Editor, “The Press.*’]
