Letters of protest
Between 1500 and 2000 letters of protest .from the New Zealand Young Christian Workers’ movement will arrive at the office of the Brazilian consulate in Auckland on Monday morning protesting at the imprisonment and torture of Christian youth leaders in Brazil.
The chaplain to the Christian Workers’ movement, the Rev. P. J. Crawford, announced this at a protest rally in Cranmer Square yesterday denouncing the imprisonment and torture of Christian Youth leaders. Father Crawford said protest letters from Young Christian Workers in 80 different countries were being sent to Brazilian consular offices throughout the 'world this month. .$
