History of tree
Does the big Redwood tree at Waimate’s Courthouse have any . historical significance? When was it planted and did it mark some occasion? This is what Mr R. G. Laplanche, borough superintendent of reserves, would like to know as he is assisting in a national cataloguing of historic trees. The project is under the direction of the Forestry Department at Rotorua. If anyone can help, he should get in touch with Mr Laplanche.
