Repayments to I.M.F.

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 18. New Zealand repayments to the International Monetary Fund were $4,124,000, exclusive of the repayment of actual drawings, the Minister of Finance (Mr Muldoon) said today. In a written reply to a Parliamentary question from .Mr R. J. Tizard (Lab., Pakuranga) he said that this amount consisted of interest charges totalling $4,064,000 and a stand-by charge on the unused portion of the stand-by facility, $60,000.

Mr Muldoon said that taking all charges into account, the effective cost of our drawings from the fund,' totalling $142,400,000 since 1965 had been approximately 1.27 per cent per annum.
