Barbed salmon
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 20. Tinned salmon may no longer hold the appeal It once did for a Lower Hutt woman—and it’s hardly surprising' In a tin of a Japanese variety bought by Mrs G. Armstrong, of Waterloo, was found the hook, still caught in the salmon. Aoout an inch long, with a sharp barb and a small length of nylon line still knotted to it, the hook was buried in the last piece of fish taken from the tin to go into a Sandwich. She said her grandson found the hook as he was making the sandwich.
“It was lucky he found it—some mother could have given her child the tin for a school lunch and the child could have swallowed the hook without seeing it,” she said.
