Terms of Service: On contract for two years—contract may be renewed by mutual agreement. Age limits 28-45. Duties to be taken up by January 15, 1971. Duties: To teach typewriting and stenography as required to students at Honiara Technical Institute and to take part in extra-curricula activities of a boarding institution as the principal may require. On occasion the successful applicant may be required to assist with further education under the Adult Education programme. . QUALIFICATIONS: Previous highly recommended service as a typing instructress (With shorthand) is necessary. Salary: The salary scale, with gratuity, stated on an annual basis, runs from $A3628 to $A7730 and is made up of basic SAIBOO p.a. to $A3408 p.a., plus £StgBBB p.a. to £Stgl296 p.a., these two items plus gratuity of 25 per cent per annum payable at the end of the contract period. The point of entry on the scale depends upon experience and qualifications. All the £Stg element of salary and gratuity is tax free. Holiday pay for a two-year term is four days full pay and gratuity for each month of residential service for basic salary up to $3199 p.a,, thereafter five days full pay and gratuity. Should a contract be renewed holiday leave would be allowed at five days full pay and gratuity for each month of residential service for basic salaries up to $3199 p.a.; thereafter six days full pay and gratuity with fares paid to and from New Zealand.
