COMPANY SECRETARY FINANCIAL CONTROLLER WE ARE SEEKING APPLICATIONS on behalf of a well known subsidiary of a large international group for a COMPANY SECRETARY/FINANCIAL CONTROLLER. Our client, long established in New Zealand with a manufacturing unit and branches, requires an experienced management accountant seeking an executive position. THE POSITION, which is a newly created key appointment arising from the pending retirement of the Company’s Secretary/Chief Accountant, will involve overall responsibility for the financial management function of the company including the reporting and evaluation offinancial policy and projects. The successful applicant will work closely with the Managing Director and divisional executives and his duties will be to advise management and Initiate financial policy. initiate financial policy. The preparation of regular quarterly and annual financial reports and the routine supervision of accounting procedures will be largely controlled by the company’s Chief Accountant. THE APPLICANT should possess an accounting degree or qualification, an imaginative and forward looking aptitude and the temperament and personality for executive status. It is desirable, but not essential, that he should have had a background in a manufacturing, importing and service organisation. A man in the 30 to 45 age group is preferred. THE REWARDS: A generous commencing salary, open to negotiation, depending on qualifications and experience and to be increased on the assumption of full responsibility in mid 1971 as Company Secretaty/Financial Controller. A car is provided and membership of the company’s superannuation scheme is available. The position offers rewarding scope in an expanding industry .for a man capable of senior executive development.
