Trimaran launched
The trimaran Nekton, which waa launched at Lyttelton on Thursday was built by Mr J. Grimwis, of 272 Mairehau Road, Christchurch. Mr Grimwis said yesterday that he had built it off and on in his front garden over a period of six years. It was a solo effort. The trimaran, which is 28ft long and 16ft wide (and built of plywood and fibreglass) is powered by a diesel engine. It will be used for cruising in the meantime.
