No move for election
The Christchurch Labour Representation Committee decided last evening that it would take no action towards a by-election to fill the vacancy on the City Council caused by the disqualification of Cr P. J. Skellerup.
The council decided last Monday that it would leave the vacancy unfilled. The way is still open for someone to organise a petition which would require 500 signatures demanding a byelection.
