BLACK FROST: Trotted a splendid race for second to Dingle Bay on Tuesday. Sure to go weH again. DINGLE BAY: Decisive but narrow winner on Tuesday. Has been penalised 12 yards and should go well. LE CHAR: Showed courage to hold on for third to Dingle Bay in tight finish on Tuesday. In form and must be respected again. PHILEMON: Good win on Show Day, but broke badly in other two starts. Is good enough to win if he races kindly. ROYAL COURT: Useful run for fourth even though he was well beaten on Tuesday. Should be prominent.

FANCIED RUNNERS BLACK LABEL: Not racing with * much luck at present and deserves a change of fortune. Should go close. FALSE IDEA: Speedy but rather erratic at the start. With clean beginning should be one of the top chances. FOREST KING: Good race under difficulties for third to Sassenach on Tuesday. Should get into finish. MANAWARU: Dashing win in Metropolitan Stakes showed he was back to form. In spite of rise in class he looks the big danger. MONARRG: Smart win on Tuesday. Will find this tougher, but should still be prominent. MORRIS PAL: Good second to Sassenach gives him a great chance. RAIN AGAIN: Beaten by Smokey ; Express over two miles. Stays well and in spite of poor draw looks a top chance. LEE FROST: Won at Wairio meeting last week, but will find this tougher. MICKEY DHU: Fair fourth to Allenton on cup day. Racing well enough to be a chance. NEW LAW: Came with true stayer’s run for win on Show Day. Racing well and consistently. Looks a major chance. ROYAL ASCOT: Made up much ground for fifth to Allenton at latest start. Stays well and sure to get into finish. NOBLE LORD: Will only have to make a clean start to get into finish as he has been racing with rare dash and

determination. RANGATIRA: Rather out of form at the moment, but peak run would give him a chance. SCOTTISH WARRIOR: Racing lately has been against weaker opposition in the North Island. Is highly rated and should be capable of a bold showing. VIOLETTA: Came fast for fourth to New Law on Show Day, after similar placing in an open handicap three days earlier. FANCIED RUNNERS GARRY VIEW: Good race uhder difficulties for sixth to Manawaru -on Tuesday. This might be easier.

GENERAL DEMAND: Good run for third to Manawaru. Should get into finish once more. GIGOLO: Good win on Show Day, capping some consistent racing. Another bold run expected. GUY HANOVER: Impressive win at cup trials. If he goes as well again should go close to winning. HEATHER LOCH: Racing consistently and deserves a win. Second to Manawaru at latHOT FEET: Easy winner at Waikouaiti on October 31. Speedy and might be a danger. NOBLE FROST: Fair run for seventh to ManaWaru. Might surprise.
