Hit-and-run case
Christchurch police are seeking information about the driver of a car that failed to stop after knocking a man from his bicycle in Montreal Street last evening. The man, whose name was not released, was admitted unconscious to Christchurch Hospital. His condition is satisfactory. Police said. the man was cycling north on Montreal Street near St Asaph Street about 9 p.m. when he was struck from behind. The car was described as a 1952 or 1953 Vanguard painted a light colour. i
