(N.Z. Press Assn. —Copyright) LONDON. Mr J. Reilly, the Victoria Amateur Turf Club’s secretary, telephoned A. Breasley from Australia tills week and It was arranged that G. Lewis, who is on his way to ride in India, will now- represent England in the Invitation races In Australia and New Zealand in January and February. J. Mercer, who had hoped to replace L. Piggott, was dlsappointed on hearing the news. The bookmakers, Ladbrookes, have made Lewis a 5/4 on bet to win next season's championship. Piggott, champion for the last seven successive years. Is being offered at even money to retain his title.
