Prayers from womb?
(N.Z.P. A.-Reuter—Copyright) DJAKARTA, October 16. The Indonesian Foreign Minister (Mr Adatn Malik) said today he heard an unborn baby praying in its mother’s womb. • He said he heard the baby when he summoned Mrs Tjit Zaharafonna, aged 23, who says she is carrying an unborn child who can speak and quote from the Koran. Speaking to reporters about the meeting, Mr Malik said: “I believe in God and so I believe in miracles he created. But this does not necessarily mean I believe in mysticism.” Mrs Zaharafonna, who says she has carried the baby for nearly 20 months now, has attracted a great deal of publicity in Djakarta and has been received by President Suharto. She plans to go to West Germany later this month to be examined by medical specialists. Yesterday Mrs Zaharafonna was taken to hospital in Djakarta for a check-up but left for home before this could be done, saying her baby had told her to do so.
