Car colours investigation
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Oct. 15. A Ministry of Transport investigation into car colours, and their possible role in accidents, will begin in about a month, the Director of Road Transport (Mr B. C. Campbell) said today. At present the Ministry had no evidence that any car colour was better than another, Mr Campbell said. Inquiries overseas had failed to yield any information on the subject.
Mr Campbell was replying to a question in Parliament from Mr H. J. L. May (Lab., Western Hutt) who asked if some colours might make cars difficult to see in certain conditions.
