FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT Situation.—A disturbed south-westerly airstream covers New Zealand. ■> Forecast: Canterbury.—South-westerlies fresh and gusty in exposed areas; changeable and cold with showers. Coastal Marlborough.—South to southwest winds strong in exposed areas; cloudy and cold with frequent showers. Inland Marlborough and Nelson.—Southwesterlies fresh at times; scattered showers, mainly about the ranges, otherwise partly cloudy and cool. Buller and Westland.—South-westerlies, sometimes fresh; variable skies and cool with a few showers. Outlook: partly cloudy in most places but a few scattered showers about the ranges.
