FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT Situation.—A cold front is moving away to the east of New Zealand and a cool south to south-westerly airstream prevails over the country and most of the Tasman Sea. Forecast: Canterbury.—Light variable winds; fine and cold with widespread frosts again tonight. Marlborough and Nelson.—Light to moderate variable winds; fine; moderate afternoon temperatures but cold at night with frosts.
