TRAMPERS WARNED
An important . cableway over the Otira River at Aickens has been washed away by flooding in Westland. The Morrison cableway is well known to trampers in Westland and many tracks converge on the river crossing. The Otira River normally can be forded at this point, but trampers are warned that because of flooding the river is now unfordable.
