Mare not for sale
“The Press” Special Service INVERCARGILL. "Quite a few overseas buyers have been poking about, but I’m not talking business with them.” With those words, the Balclutha owner-trainer, L. H. Tilson, swept aside any chances of his star performer, Stella Frost, being sold. With the chance of Stella Frost winning this year’s New Zealand Cup and the added lure of the Inter-Dominion in February, he looks to be doing the right thing. Stella Frost advanced her winnings to $33,495 when she won the Roydon Lodge Free-For-All at Hutt Park on Tuesday night. She has now Started 56 times for 14 wins and 27 placings.
