Singapore chided
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) KUALA LUMPUR, Sept. 18. The Prime Minister of Malaysia (Tunku Abdul [Rahman) today fired a parting shot at the Singapore ‘Government, accusing it of an isolationist and sometimes hostile attitude towards Malaysia.
The Tunku—who will resign in favour of his deputy Prime Minister (Tun Abdul Razak), on Tuesday—called on Singapore to review the policies that it had adopted since separating from Malay-' Isia in 1965. “1 think they have no[ (choice. If they review their j policies and think straight,; there is no choice but tbj come close to Malaysia,” he; said. The Prime Minister also Called on all “friendly”! nations to be honest and fair in their trade dealings with • his country. He said that he was disappointed to see them not giving economic co- ; operation the seriousness of i thought it deserved. These countries, he said, ; cared very little about help- < ing Asian countries; “All they think about is to try i and make what they can out 1 of us.” he said. ‘1
