New Twizel school
A Form I to Form VI high school will be established at Twizel from February 1 next year. This was announced yesterday at a meeting of the Canterbury Education Board. It had been thought that the township might have had a district high school next year, but the chairman of the board’s building committee (Mr A. A. Manning) said that sufficient accommodation would now be available for a Form I to Form VI school. All secondary positions will be advertised next month in anticipation of the approval of the Minister of Education (Mr Taiboys).
