Servicing need
A recent visitor to New Zealand was Mr John Russell, regional manager of Outboard Marine International S.A., Hong Kong. A world authority on outboards, Mr Russell was interviewed by “Sea Spray” and had these comments to make on the need for servicing: “Service is essential, and we are keenly aware of the need for a fast, efficient and fully comprehensive back-up service and will be running special courses in Auckland and Christchurch for our service engineers. The courses will be thorough, not just dealing with specific motors or models, but examining and explaining the basic physics behind outboards, workshop techniques, use of special tools, etc. I think you will find that our people in New Zealand will be right on the ball when they’re needed' and the boating public will obtain the full enjoyment from their recreational investment.”
