Demands Made

(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) BEIRUT (Lebanon), Sept. 7.

Palestinian commandos today warned they will blow up the two hijacked airliners that landed in Jordan plus their 300 passengers and crew unless three demands are met, the Associated Press reported. “If any side tries to approach either the American or the Swiss plane, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine will destroy the two planes along with their passengers,” the guerrillas said. A statement issued by the popular front for the liberation of Palestine (P.F.L.P.) in Beirut said the demands were:

1. Release of three of its guerrillas held in Zurich gaols for attacks on a Swissair plane last year and their immediate return to Amman. 2. Release of the girl who attempted to hijack the El Al plane yesterday and her return from London to Amman with the body of her accomplice. 3. Release and return to Amman of the three commandos from the Action Organisation for the Liberation of Palestine held in West German gaols after an attack last year on an El Al bus in Frankfurt.

Until the above demands are met, .the statement continued, the P.F.L.P. will “keep in custody Israelis on both planes who carry dual nationality, American and Israeli, plus Swiss, British and West German nationals.” A.A.P.-Reuter reported that the Trans-World Airlines’ representative in Beirut said today that the hijacked T.W.A. and Swissair planes in Jordan were at the military airstrip at Zarka under heavy guard.
