Canterbury Wins Two N.Z. Lifting Titles

G. May (18) retained his national heavy-weight title when he Jerked, 3301 b above his head for a total of 8481 b for the three Olympic lifts. This equalled bls own national total record and he also equalled his national record for the snatch with a lift 1 of 2641 b. He also showed good form in the press with a lift of 2531 b. His total bettered pls last year's winning total by 1281b.'
