SHORT REIGN.—Miss Kathleen Winstanley, aged 23, who recently won the title of “Miss Great Britain,” has found the life of a beauty queen “too hectic.” After a reign of only nine days she has announced she will give up her title. When she won the title, Miss Winstanley said she planned to retire from the beauty contest circuit at the end of her year’s term and to invest her savings in a new product for women. First prize for the contest was more than $4000 and other awards valued about $3000.
