Theft Of Gifts
Radios, a televisiqn receiver, a fur stole, suits and wedding presents were stolen from a house in South Brighton on Saturday. The value of the goods has not yet been fixed.
A transistor radio valued at $35 was stolen when a motel unit in Matai Street was entered on Saturday. Three car-tons of flounders worth $24 were stolen when the premises of P. Feron and Son, Ltd, Moorhouse Avenue, were burgled on Saturday evening, and $l4 in eash was stolen when a house in Hammersley Street was entered the same evening. Early on Sunday morning Ihe Bernard Street warehouse of the Canterbury 'N.Z. Seed Company was entered, and damage estimated at $2OO was caused when a fork-lift truck was used to break down some large doors. Nothing was stolen.
On Friday evening a telephoto lens valued at $4OO was stolen from a locked car parked in Worcester Street. The theft was committed between 8 p.m. and 10.45 p.m.
