Navy Reserve Service
The annual commemoration service of the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve Association (Canterbury) was held yesterday aboard H.M.N.Z.S. Pegasus before an attendance of more than 250.
Representatives of other defence forces, the police, civic representatives and members of Parliament took part in the service during which wreaths were laid by the president of the Association (Mr J. S. Gill) and Commander R. F. Sanderson, V.R.D./R.N.Z.N.V.R. The service was conducted by the Naval Reserve chaplain, the Rev. P. N. Wright, who also conducted a service rededicating the plaque erected in memory of naval reservists.
